Overview:

Tierpoint Partners is pleased to be partnering with a leading energy management company to appoint a Financial Accountant in a newly created position. The role would suit a Finalist/Newly Qualified accountant looking to make a move from accountancy practice into industry or a Financial Accountant already working in industry and seeking a new challenge. The business is on an ambitious growth journey to become the UK’s largest provider in their industry and is seeking a technically strong financial accountant to play a pivotal role as the Group continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Involvement in the production and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packs.
  • Prepare statutory accounts for all legal entities, including half-year and year-end Group accounts.
  • Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and statutory laws, ensuring that the Group is compliant.
  • Work with auditors on the half-year review and year-end audit process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Work with tax consultants for the Group to ensure compliance with HMRC and European tax authorities.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial data provided to other areas of the business.
  • Assistants with the Groups FP&A and M&A activities, including forecasting and modelling.
  • Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant ACA or ACCA.
  • First or second time mover out of practice.
  • Sound technical knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102 statutory reporting.
  • Strong technical expertise in accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Takes ownership of tasks / workstreams with an enthusiasm for learning new skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with external advisers and stakeholders, internal teams and different levels of the organisation.
  • Proactive team player with excellent organisational skills.
  • Agile approach to working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to changing situations.

Salary & Details

  • £50,000 base salary + benefits
  • 2 days per week in the office
