Overview:
Tierpoint Partners is pleased to be partnering with a leading energy management company to appoint a Financial Accountant in a newly created position. The role would suit a Finalist/Newly Qualified accountant looking to make a move from accountancy practice into industry or a Financial Accountant already working in industry and seeking a new challenge. The business is on an ambitious growth journey to become the UK’s largest provider in their industry and is seeking a technically strong financial accountant to play a pivotal role as the Group continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Involvement in the production and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packs.
- Prepare statutory accounts for all legal entities, including half-year and year-end Group accounts.
- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and statutory laws, ensuring that the Group is compliant.
- Work with auditors on the half-year review and year-end audit process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Work with tax consultants for the Group to ensure compliance with HMRC and European tax authorities.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data provided to other areas of the business.
- Assistants with the Groups FP&A and M&A activities, including forecasting and modelling.
- Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified accountant ACA or ACCA.
- First or second time mover out of practice.
- Sound technical knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102 statutory reporting.
- Strong technical expertise in accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
- Takes ownership of tasks / workstreams with an enthusiasm for learning new skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with external advisers and stakeholders, internal teams and different levels of the organisation.
- Proactive team player with excellent organisational skills.
- Agile approach to working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
Salary & Details
- £50,000 base salary + benefits
- 2 days per week in the office
