Tierpoint Partners is delighted to collaborate with a leading multinational company to appoint a new Head of Commercial Finance for their UK & Ireland Services business. This critical business unit plays a pivotal role in the growth strategy for the UK & Ireland market. We are seeking a driven and ambitious individual who is eager to shape the overall strategy while actively engaging in day-to-day operations.
This senior position will work closely with the UK & Ireland senior leadership team to drive strategy and performance. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical accounting background coupled with significant commercial experience within a service-based industry.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Head of Commercial Finance for UK&I, you will:
- Contribute to the Commercial Strategy: Drive sustainable and profitable growth within the Services business. Partner with business leads to support and challenge required actions for both short and long-term performance.
- Challenge New Business Models: Assess and challenge strategic plans to drive digital growth. Increase coverage of the Digital Flywheel and analyse the Annual Recurring Revenue generated.
- Lead Strategic Planning: Assist the Services VPs in setting and driving monthly and yearly targets through strategic planning exercises and target-setting activities.
- Support Month-End Closing Processes: Supervise all month-end duties, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
- Optimise Pricing Power: Work with the local pricing team to deliver on pricing ambitions.
- Standardise and Digitise Reporting: Lead transformation and process improvement projects using digital tools to enhance insights and reporting consistency.
- Support Yearly Sales & Marketing Plan: Assist in the preparation and follow-up of the Sales & Marketing Plan to ensure the zone trends towards its ambition.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software.
- Ability to work in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Effective communicator with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive the leadership team.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience in creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
- Excellent user and administration skills in accounting software.
Education and Experience:
- Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance-related field.
- ACA/ACCA or CIMA certification preferred.
- At least 5 years of combined accounting and finance experience.
